Protesters from New York, New Jersey and surrounding states converged on Schlumberger Limited facilities in Horseheads, New York Saturday. Schlumberger is the world’s leading supplier of oil drilling operations. Around 100 protesters were in attendance with 15-20 willing to be arrested. The demonstration was sponsored by Shaleshock Direct Action, a coalition of area activist groups with the goal of stopping hydraulic fracturing.
